Lookbook: Undine

She came from the water. Beckoned by a promise, Undine was drawn from the green pellucid depths of her home.

She prepared to step onto the strangeness of land to join her lover - the brave ritual of leaving that has been the work of womenfolk across time.

Delicately, her fingers wove a veil of white to comfort and protect her in the surrender of sleep, and into it she stitched her stories.

Forever searching for reasons to revisit femininity, strength, vulnerability and the water’s edge, we made these photos together on film. Lately, Emily and I have been inspired by myths of women and water, and will be curating a show to the theme of Undines later in June in Providence.

“Undine” - a selection of knitwear by Emily Nora O’Neil, home objects by Tend, photographs from this series, and artisanal cocktails by Little Bitte will open on June 26th, 2021 at World’s Fair Gallery in Providence.
